June | Pastor Loewe's Message

Message from The King's Crown
IN NOMINE JESU CHRISTI
If you cannot be a watchman, Standing high on Zion’s wall, Pointing out the path to heaven, off’ring life and peace to all, With your prayers and with your bounties You can do what God demands; You can be like faithful Aaron, Holding up the prophet’s hands.
God is so good to His people! He provides us with every need, talent, and resource so that the ministry of His church can go forth unhindered. Here at Christ the King we are now in the midst of capital improvements that will prepare us for continued ministry for the future of CTK. New furnaces, air conditioners, entire roof, electronic sign, and lighting will allow us to focus our attention on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and TELL THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT JESUS. This great project will provide the foundation for continued growth for the sake of Jesus here at CTK for the 21st century.

Our various projects total about $100.000. That’s a big goal to pay down. Yet we know that God can and will bless our faithful efforts for the success of the Good News ministries of CTK. We have a wonderful congregation! Friendly, active, devout, and well endowed with all the gifts of the Holy Spirit we need to grow spiritually and numerically. All of us—at whatever age or status life finds us—are used by God for His purposes according to the gifts He has given.

The Great Day of Pentecost, June 4, will energize you and me to see the possibilities and opportunities God puts before His people. We welcome our new members and hear the great Gospel message of Jesus Christ and His complete victory over sin, death and the devil and His sending the Holy Spirit to convince His people of their need and their new birth.

Yes, it’s summertime now and the temptations to "do as you please" and put aside your need to hear the Gospel is strong. Friend, when temptations hit you, as they will, remember you have already made your commitment to the Gospel as you are God’s Baptized children. The Holy Spirit lives with and in you. He will continue to prompt you to gladly hear and learn of Jesus in every season of the year and in every season of your life. God claims you as His own. He is very proud of you and will give you every strength and power necessary for you to act on His promises, God expects the best of what He’s given to you. He only asks for faithfulness in the use of your personal gifts of time, talent, and treasure.

This Season of Pentecost: Pray and Worship! There is no substitute for believing that God will keep His promises. Ask your Father to open your mind and heart to see the possibilities for service to Him in your life. He will do far more than you could ever hope or expect. Worship regularly this Summer—receiving the wonderful blessings of forgiveness and life that are offered. You will be blessed and you will be a blessing to others. God bless you.

Much Love in Christ, Pastor Loewe.
