Message from The King's Crown
IN NOMINE JESU CHRISTI
Picture
This season of Advent and going in to the grand celebration of the Nativity of our Lord is a season of anticipatory joy for us. We rejoice because we are called by Jesus and in Him given faith to believe all God’s promises. Yes. In Christ, the babe of Bethlehem, we have all God’s promises made real in each and every believer.
Advent, with its themes of preparation for the King to come in all His glory at the Last Day, does cause us to focus on repentance and readiness. But, that does not cut down our joy in Christ, The Last Day is the Day of the Lord’s rescue for all His people. We have the assurance that we are "safe from danger." No wiles of Satan, no sin of our own, no worldly temptations can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Only we can do that. As we repent and believe the Gospel we have what God promises. And what a Gospel message we have here at CTK to share!
Christ is the conqueror of sin and death. God is man to deliver us from the righteous judgment of God the Father against sin. Jesus is one with us by blood and birth. That means that He can live, suffer, and die in service to each human being. Because He is God of God His obedience and sacrifice are sufficient to pay all our debt of sin and pride.
Perhaps you are afraid that God, knowing all things, yet holds your sin against you. Remember just  who He gave to us to save us from all justice and judgment, His one And only Son. The very Lord of Lords who created all things for His own glory is a man and our Savior. From His throne of might God looks down upon us who are His dear children, clothed in the innocence and blessedness of Christ.

Do you want proof of God’s love and acceptance? Look to the cross! Suffering all the pangs of God’s judgment, Jesus takes our place. He dies the death that we deserve. For our life He gives His own and makes us fit to live in glory with Him in heaven forever.
And now Jesus calls all people to believe the Good News. Since we are freed from all the sin and death that grieve us and sadden us, we can look to Jesus to send the blessings we need everyday, In deed, He freely sends His Word and His marvelous Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper that we might truly cling to Him and know the love of God in the here and now.
Come, then, all you CTK people! Come children, fathers, mothers, women, men, to the waters of life here at CTK this Advent and at Christmas. Come and confess your sin and your Savior Jesus born in Bethlehem. Meet King Jesus where He promises to be. You will live with Him in joy forever!
Merry Christmas! Pastor Loewe
