Message from The King's Crown IN NOMINE JESU CHRISTI Jesus tells us, "take my yoke upon you and learn from me." There are many things we can learn from Jesus our Savior and Lord. Chief among them, how to pray. The great old lenten hymn above is really a survey of the passion of Christ Jesus. Each stanza a particular facet of His life and our life in Him.
Message from The King's Crown IN NOMINE JESU CHRISTI This year of the Lord 2018 our Church Calendar gives us Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the season of Lent, on Valentine’s Day, February 14. This conjunction of secular and religious calendars is merely coincident. Yet, it is a fortuitous pairing as the day of "hearts and flowers" in conjoined with the day of "sackcloth and ashes." For at the bottom of each holiday is the theme of unconditional love and care. In the case of Ash Wednesday, the unconditional love of Jesus Christ that leads Him to give His very life that we might be saved.
Message from The King's Crown IN NOMINE JESU CHRISTI Dear Christian Friends: Rejoice! Here at Christ the King God our Father is well pleased to give His people every grace and blessing from His loving heart. Of course, the very best blessing of all is our Savior, Jesus Christ. In Him—the tender babe of Bethlehem—we have real connection with our Father. He calls us sons and daughters because Jesus willingly came into this world of sin and death to be one of us for all of us. As we begin a brand new year 2018 as God’s CTK children it is good to take stock of the reality of our state before a righteous God and the grace and mercy He brings in Christ Jesus our King.
Message from The King's Crown IN NOMINE JESU CHRISTI This season of Advent and going in to the grand celebration of the Nativity of our Lord is a season of anticipatory joy for us. We rejoice because we are called by Jesus and in Him given faith to believe all God’s promises. Yes. In Christ, the babe of Bethlehem, we have all God’s promises made real in each and every believer.
Message from The King's Crown IN NOMINE JESU CHRISTI One thing about gratitude—it doesn’t last very long! This world and we people in it are always looking for greater and better results. "That was yesterday. What have you done for me lately?" is the world’s self-centered theme. But that’s the world—not us!
Message from The King's Crown IN NOMINE JESU CHRISTI I am trusting Thee, Lord Jesus, Trusting only Thee; Trusting Thee for full salvation, Great and free. Message from The King's Crown IN NOMINE JESU CHRISTI If you cannot be a watchman, Standing high on Zion’s wall, Pointing out the path to heaven, off’ring life and peace to all, With your prayers and with your bounties You can do what God demands; You can be like faithful Aaron, Holding up the prophet’s hands.
