 "Catechism, Confession, and Communion" Service "Deliver Us From Evil" Evil is that which seeks to replace that which is good. So the devil, the world, and our own sinful natures work overtime to pull us away from God who is truly good. But, our Father is always at work in Christ Jesus our Lord to prevent evil from getting the upper hand. He delivers us from the muck and mire of evil into his own goodness.
