 WELCOME! Today we are well and truly in the good old summertime. We’ve already experienced 90+ temperatures and we thank God for our brand new air conditioners throughout our physical plant here at CTK. Of course, summertime brings with it the temptation to put God aside for a time. We are God’s treasured possession, in fact, His priests to offer the spiritual sacrifices of our love and worship. But, because of our sinful nature we tend to scatter from the Shepherd as we pursue our own pleasures and purposes. We fail to admit our total dependence on God, our Creator and Redeemer. But God is faithful! He continues to rescue us from the slavery of sin in order that we may worship Him and serve others. In Word and Sacrament God works in us to keep us as His treasured possession.
