 WELCOME! The joyful Eastertide now is reaching its glorious extent and gives way to the season of Pentecost beginning June 4, the Great Day of Pentecost. And today we get an intense look into the blessings of the Holy Spirit as Jesus promises His sorrowing Disciples "another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth..." This is the glory of Jesus Christ that as He does His work, He never forgets our weaknesses and our needs. He knows that in ourselves we are incapable of reaching God or even pleasing God. But the Holy Spirit reaches out to us, implants faith and hope, and convinces us of the righteousness of Christ for us. Jesus assures us, "You know Him, for dwells with you and will be in you." With Holy Spirit power, then, in the worst of times and in the best of times, "you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you." Thanks be to God!
