WELCOME! The Season of Epiphany shines forth the appearing and revealing of Jesus Christ as the Savior. Today we see and hear Jesus Christ in His own Word and doing that for which He comes. His message for all: "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel." Yes. All things are set in place for Jesus and His salvation. The precious Word of Moses and the Prophets is fulfilled in the Son of God and Son of Man, Jesus Christ. He is True God and True Man sent to save all the world. And He does it by the power of the Holy Spirit in His own Word. His Word and invitation demands action. This we see in our Gospel today. To Simon and Andrew casting their net he calls, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Immediately they follow. He sees James and John mending their nets and "immediately" He calls them. And just as immediately, they follow. Thus the call of Jesus. Come, follow Him!
