 WELCOME! IT’S ADVENT. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Well, it’s a new Church Year here at CTK. Advent ushers in the "festival" half of the Church Year that will take us through Eastertide. Today we find ourselves in Jerusalem and Palm Sunday. Jesus is coming into the Holy City for the last time as True Man. Good Friday is looming in the immediate future and He will die on Calvary to pay the price for all sin for all mankind. Following His burial, Jesus will always and fully use all of His divine powers for our sake. And the sake of all His Church. In Advent we prepare for Jesus to come again in glory to rescue His people from all sin and death. We are prepared by hearing His Word, living lives of repentance into the forgiveness of sin, and serving God with works of love toward God and neighbor. "Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our Father David! Hosanna in the highest!" TAGS: Service Announcements
