WELCOME! This week, as we continue our Series A Old Testament emphasis for our sermons, we find a wonderful Psalm, "A Prayer of Moses, The Man of God". It is Psalm 90. In itself it is a very famous Psalm. It is often used at funeral services and in devotions at the bedside of the dying Christian. Moses’ theme is the ephemeral nature of time. How quickly our lives fly by! Grass withers in the summer heat. Leaves fall and blow away in this month of November. In winter the trees are bare and windblown. Heartbreaking to us, we stand by a casket and stare at a lifeless body. We look in the mirror and see age steal youth and energy. Yet, in spring the flowers bloom and the grass turns green. The grave is empty on Easter morn. Jesus is risen from death! God takes pity on His people and gives us everlasting life in Christ. Thanks be to God! TAGS: Service Announcements
